If you are purchasing a new home you may need to move twice. It is not practical to plan on that home being definitely completed on a certain date. There will likely be delays from any number of reasons, including material shortages, labor strikes and broken or damaged materials which have to be re-ordered. As an interim plan, you may need to look for apartments that are willing to negotiate less than a one year lease.
